‘The Pengrooms’ by Paul Castle

‘The Pengrooms’ by Paul Castle is a sweet picture book about two penguins who bake wedding cakes for other queer couples such as flamingos and giraffes.

The illustrations in this book are beautiful. And the most impressive part? Paul is legally blind! He created the Pengrooms when his husband, Matthew, proposed to him. Matthew suggested that Paul illustrate them for their wedding invitations—and Paul drew them as penguins because of their tuxedos.

This book is more than just a beautiful read-aloud for children. It's a delight for adults, too!
