Welcome to our corner of the web!

We are Cora (she/they) and Carina (she/her), aka Else and Ilse. We are a queer couple from Cologne (Germany) that is discovering the world one country (or sometimes two) at a time, but we basically want to travel anywhere. In our other lives, Carina is a bookseller, Cora is a wedding & event planner and a celebrant.

​

We've been together since February 2019, so we believe our relationship can survive anything after spending most of our early years in lockdown. We've also recently started planning our wedding, so something big is coming up!​

 

We are passionate about queer travel and exploring inclusive destinations around the world. With our travels, we hope to break barriers and explore LGBTIQ+-friendly destinations: from Italy to Vietnam, we've found hidden gems and bucket list experiences that welcome queer travelers and promote inclusivity.

We know that it can be challenging to travel as an LGBTIQ+ couple, so we want to make it easier for you by sharing queer travel tips and inclusive travel guides. And we'll definitely tell you where we didn't feel safe to help you navigate different cultures—with a background in cultural anthropology, this is one of Cora's favorite topics! When we're not spending our money on our next destination, we love reading and hiking. And connecting with the LGBTIQ+ community all over the world!

As avid book lovers, we also share recommendations on queer literature and books with LGBTIQ+ characters that reflect our community's diversity—perfect for your next trip or a cozy day on the couch. Our journey began with a not-always-artistic Instagram account (although we certainly did try, rather less than more successfully) where we planned to collect our memories so as not to annoy our friends on our personal accounts.
