Vegan in Cyprus
Being vegan in Cyprus with an eggplant allergy was no easy feat! But it can be done and we had some really delicious dishes!

Saj Zaatar at Za’atar Lebanese Bakery. So delicious that we had them twice!

A box at Wok In A Box. You can completely customize your box. We had pad thai noodles with mighty vegan chicken strips, pak choi, carrots, satay sauce, and, as toppings, crushed peanuts, hot chilies, and fresh coriander. But there are so many vegan options here!

Vai Vegano at Pizzeria 485° Napoletana. Ask for the chili oil if they don't offer it!

Olive Koulouri and baklava from StoArtos Coffee Bakery.

A popsicle at Popsom. It was delicious, but the vendor wasn’t always sure what was vegan and what wasn't.

The Ultimate Greek Gyro with homemade lemonade at Inga's Veggie Heaven. They have a daily changing menu, but everything sounded so delicious we could hardly decide. Try the sugar free Apple Crumble! Probably the best food we had in Nicosia.

Vegan lamajoun, mushroom koupedes, and spinach pie at Bake ‘n’ Take. Sooo delicious, very cheap, and wonderful people!

Crispy Veggies (starter) and Channa Masala with rice and papadam at Hurry Curry. They don’t have a lot of vegetarian options and you’ll have to ask what is vegan/what they can make vegan. Not the best Indian food we ever had, but at least, it was a nice change to falafel and fries! Plus: they list themselves as LGBTIQ+ friendly on GoogleMaps, so there’s some awareness!

Potato Pie at Avo’s Armenian Food.

Falafel at Fanous Lebanese Restaurant, a Lebanese place.

Ice cream at Gelatiamo Gelateria Naturale—it’s gelato!

Vegan Platter (custom) at Taverna Napa Est. 1976.
Vegan Gyros at Raphael's Restaurant Cyprus.
Vegan Meze at Stamna Taverna. Apparently, they are located in the oldest house in Ayia Napa!
Falafel at Georgie's Handy Food. I chose the Cyprus Pitta, but they have a few options.
